    Question on RAM

Right now I have 2x 512MB dual channel RAM but I want to upgrade to 2 gigs. What would u guys advise? Get 2x 1 gig, or add 2 more 512MB? Money is kind of an object here, but if the difference is noticeably worth it, I might go for it.

What mobo, processor? If you have an older A64 (ie. not rev. e) you will need 2x1GB. If not then 4x512 will be fine.

      Asus A8N SLI w/ AMD Athlon 64 3500+. So I'll be fine with 4x 512MB then?

4-512's will still run in Dual Channel and from what I understand, it's better to have 4-512's than 2-1Gb sticks. I haven't tested this myself, it's what I've read in reviews

Yes, 4-512s is better because then you have 2-sticks to read and 2-sticks to write, versus just one for both.

Yes 4-512s will work in your motherboard quite nicely, just make sure you buy the same exact kind.

It matters more with what cpu you have than it does the motherboard, as A64s have an on-die memory controller. If you CPU is rev. e you should not have any problems.

4x512 man its cheaper and faster
I hear 1gbs sticks run slower then 2x512 sticks
