Just dled the new 81.98 drivers for my GTX and the v666 drivers for my mobo and my score has gone from 7300 (around that) to 5180. WTF??

Just cleaned out the PC innards (literally wiped/blew/vacuumed dust), installed the latest VIA Hyperion and X-treme-G 81.98v2 Nvidia drivers, so thought I'd try again... It squeezed the 6800GT past 5900... 5908. Oc'ed at 414/1.11. I may try a few more mhz (I usually bench at 425/1.12), it may pass 6000... or explode. :laugh:

Why do you guys get SLI anyway? Its the most complete waste of money since tickle me elmo

Personally i already had a 6600GT so it made sense rather than buy a 200+ pound card to just get a second 6600GT and get almost the same performance for just a hundred quid.

I'm so ****ed at my score today I orderd Athlon64 3400+ Newcastle and
380watt power supply. Hopefully up and benching Friday night. The 3000+
I think also a Newcastle was good but not stable beyound 2.3 as a 10hr
prime 95 test proved.
The Athlon64 3400+ (sckt.754) Newcastle is available on Newegg @ $165.00 I think its gonna be worth it. The next best option was the Athlon3700+ClawHammer with a 1MB cashe but, @ $325.00.
