Don't worry about your framrates lol. The very very low framerates, like 1-5 fps , are actually being done by just your processor. That's pretty good (depending on your score). And with 06, compared to 05, you're more likely to get like half a frame per second than any positive whole number.

i just reformatted, and was gonna test. then i restarted my comp... and like... i got some weird error regarding my registry files being deleted -_-. and Ive heard that registry problems can cause slow downs. anyways Ill bench it anyway, because theres no way im formatting AGAIN. ill LET my registry be owned for all I care. testing time!

Ok cool, that's kinda what I thought. The reason I decided to benchmark was because of GRAW. I built this system 6 months ago and I've had a lot of confidence in it, until I got GRAW a week ago. I was freaked out by the horrible performance and was wondering if my system is performing to it's ability. I know I have room to OC my vid card a little, but I don't even think there would be much impact on GRAW considering how bad it already rus at 425/1050. I think the game engine is just poorly designed. HL2 and BF2 both run great on my system on high settings, and GRAW kind of made me wonder about how my system will hold up to new games in the near future. Hopefully not like GRAW

3dmark is probably one of the most advanced graphical programs out today (maybe SPECviewperf, the most intense OpenGL test) that your system can run.

Seems quite low imo, everything running stock.
MAybe i should try some overclocks. What you guys think about the score anyone with similar specs what are you getting.

Also going to try a 7900gtx 512mb will be interesting to see if there is a significant increase.

Im using 05 because my monitor cant handle the 06 resolution but on 05 I got 8450. Not sure what that equals out to on 06.

I have a 7900gt co, dfi nf4 uldra d mobo, 80gb harddrive, 2gb ocz ram, 3800 X2

I think that 7900gtx would definitly make a huge leap forward. As for your score, I think that's not too bad. I have a pretty similar system to yours, but I have a 7800gt, not the gtx. Running stock 425/1050 I got a score of 3460. Now I hve it overclocked at 480/1200, which passes the gtx in core speed and matches it in mem speed, and I got a score of 3739. You have me beat on the cpu, that's probably the difference. Yours seems like an appropriate score.

Do you play on a server at work or something? Becuase i don't see any reason why one would own a Xeon processor and use 512 mb of rambus ram for a computer at home.
