Sorry about the break, i had to catch some zzzs, after reading the tweak guide it told me which settings to put to medium, i put everything to high except for terrain, lighting and dynamic shadows an ddynamic lightinng. Those are all on medium. I have 6xAA, and i run 1280x960 on 32 player servers. on 64 player servers i have to put settings to medium or eslse emense lag. On 16 player servers i put my settings to max.

I believe you, with my X800 Pro I play at 1024x768, all high settings, 6xaa, and the fps never drops below 40 (most of the time it's between 50 and 60).

yeah count me in - all settings high except shadows med and effects med @ 1280 x 960 @ 100 HZ with 4 x AA 8 x AF and it's sweet, but heres hoping that the shadows aren't as horrible with 1.03

GO to page 5 or 6, it's ingame setings, it tells you what to put on high and what not to, i followed this and it still looks like max settings, it helps my fps too.

ok thank you dont take this as flame the first time you said you were running max settings and with 6xaa im goin gto see if i can do as you say and run ur settings at 8xaa and 16xaf, but i cant see how you can say the 800xl is the better card when i run max everything with 4xaa and 8xaf with a good fps. thats IMO. i will be back to tell the news.

ok theres no point in 8xaa and i just dont see how me playing all high 4xaa and high for texture filtering i use in game settings, and on a 64 man servr get 45 fps please explain how you playing on medium/high on a 32 man server is better than my card im not flaming by the way.

Yeah, i don't think either card is inherently better, if you're a fan of nVidia of course you'll think 6800GT is better, and if you're a fan of ATi of course you'll think a X800XL is better. THey just do differently for different games, Doom 3 and other Open GL games are territory of nVIdia (especially Doom 3, 15-20% better fps for equivelent cards) and Half LIfe 2 and other Direct 3D games are mainly ATI territory (but the 7800 series owns it, i wanna see how ATi strikes back 2 months later than nVidia).

If you're not trying to flame them, then why do you say it? Is it really necessary to say that? I read your posts on here, and every other one of your posts is you calling someone else a noob and saying that they dont know anything about computers. You said it, and you meant it as an insult. If you didnt, then you wouldn't have said it.

and that post contributes to this thread in what way? yea i guess your right, im not a fan of either nvidia nor ati, i like them both at the time when i bought my 6800gt i said shoot i shoulda got a 800xl but now im good to go and i play bf2 fine and as it seems u do to so theres no more to say here.

all on high here,just a little bit lag at start of maps 4 about 10 secs

i love ati and nivida both good cards
