Razer introduced the features for the copperhead and then Logitech just made a copycat model. Features meaning the adjustable weights, on the fly dpi adjustments.

I currently use a Logitech mx518 and I love it. I'm going to get the new 2000DPI mouse from Logitech when it comes out though.

I get a mouse and stay with it till it craps out (or something comes along thats just so cool I have to spend $70-$80 on a mouse)

in my case it was both. My intellimouse crapped out aboutthe time the MX1000 came out. what makes me laugh is I got it for $63 at christmas...Im still seeing it being sold for up to $75 haha

MX500 for the last couple years, but I'm contemplating blowing a wad on this bad boy:

MX518. I Love it. I started to get more kills the very day I bought it. The nicest feature is the ability to change dpi on the fly. I can turn the turret of a tank around with one smooth move. I can snipe with great accuracy.
Great mouse. Buy it. You're gonna love it.

I'm very happy with my MX700.
I have a friend who is very happy with his mx1000.

                        I can't wait to get a Logitech G7.

Logitech MX518 is the best gaming mouse currently. But if you want the exotic way, a Razor one is good as well.

I've used all kinds of mice.

                            Logitech MX310 - Stopped clicking
Logitech MX510 - Takes a while to recognize but works overall
Logitech MX518 - Just got it, works fine
Microsoft Wireless Optical - Stopped working entirely
Razer Diamondback - Electric shock caused it to constantly scroll down

The MX518 is just MX500+Razer innovation, copy/paste. The On-the-Fly sens, is a Razer thing that Razer Diamondback reintroduced from its previous mice, then later MX518 is released and has almost exact same specs as Razer Diamondback.

IMO there are only two mice to choose from right now the Razer Diamondback or MX518, and the primary factors anyone should apply when choosing between the tow is how they like to hold their mice and size.

Using Razer Diamondback now, looking forward to the Razer Copperhead
