Dell makes good everything, compared to most system builders. Their displays are some of the nicest ones around.

Try and find out who make the Panel which goes in the monitor rather than just the manufacturer who puts it together. TN panels are usually a lot less vibrant and accurate than others such as PVA. Things might have changed since last time i checked but im guessing not much...

i was considering that one, its not full 24 (which a lot of people sem to report is just a bit too much) but it still has near enough the same res. Its quite hard to go wrong with Dell monitor wise although people have said its less sharp than their usual monitors, especially if you use it with Mac OSX (which i do).

What exactly would cause a less-sharp image on that particular monitor using OS X, though? I don't see how it's really feasible.

Me oh my! I just bought the 24" Dell S2409W because it is on sale at Staples right now for $279...which is even cheaper than the 23" version so I couldn't pass it up. Says it will be delivered on Tuesday! :yay:
