Thats interesting however from the charts they have in that article, it doesnt seem to make enough difference for that to be the reason Nvidia cards are so much better at crysis.

well i dont actually own crysis i was just using that as a comparison cause its a graphical game.

I know that to see all the ram i need 64 bit but arn't things not compatible on it? or is 64bit just as compatible as 32?

there are SOME compatibility issues w/64 bit os'es. the compatibility is getting better, though--it just depends on your hardware. if it says Win Vista (Home Premium Ultra Oober Leet $694) 64-bit edition compatible, it should be. you just have to be careful and make sure your hardware says that :P

Most little gripes about 64-bit compability has been worked out.

There are older games that won't run in 64 bit though you can usually work around it somehow.

Crysis is a bad choice of game to pick a videocard from as it is so completely biased to Nvidia. Your best thinking ahed and what games you are likely to play... then buy the ATI card

Might I suggest ordering from Newegg? Yes, I know you want to purchase from Memory Express because you don't want to pay for shipping. Well, I just looked up your parts on Newegg and pretty much all of them are like $20 cheaper and have free shipping.

                VisionTek HD4870 - $279.99 w/ Free Ship (+ $25 mail-in rebate)
                - $15 cheaper with $25 rebate.

                Western Digital 640GB - $79.99 w/ Free Ship
                - $10 more, but has 140GB more and it's much faster.

                Corsair 4GB RAM - $69.99 w/ Free Ship (+ $25 mail-in rebate)
                - $40 cheaper with $25 rebate.

                ASUS P5Q-E - $154.99 w/ Free Ship
                - $25 cheaper.

                Intel C2Q Q6600 - $184.99 w/ Free Ship
                - $30 cheaper.

The only downfall to ordering those parts from Newegg is waiting. That's not a big issue though because if you order it on the correct day you'll receive it in 3 days. It's really up to you. IMHO waiting those extra 3-5 days is worth saving that $100 and that's not including the $50 in rebates.

Its only savings to Americans. If the border tax wasn't as high as it is i might go through that but it would cost me a lot more than buying from memoryexpress.

And im not just talking about a little bit of money. Im talking about a treasure chest of money.

There are a lot of fees that i would have to pay just to get it across the border.

like an additional $80 for the motherboard and $160 - $200 for the 4780.

                    but thanks for searching!

Crysis, is a SP game, i played it, and got bored when i reached the Carrier part :s honestly people should not base their searches on Crysis if they are going to be playing games that ATI can blow out of the water.

I still think u cud use a less powerful PSU. check out this article on anandtech http://www.anandtech.com/casecoolingpsus/showdoc.aspx?i=3413&p=1.

Other than that looks ideal :)
