Steam not syncing

Hi guys,

Getting the error:

"Steam was unable to sync your files for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Multiplayer with the Steam Cloud

If you have played this game from another computer, your game settings and/or progressmay not be in sync with what's stored in the Cloud. If you play the game now, you may lose those changes or progress. "

Does anyone know what the hell this means???? I can't play anymore because of this error.

Steam Cloud saves your game settings, achievement/rank progress with an external server for your account.

The fix for this is:
-Close The Steam Client
-Go into your steam folder "C:\Program Files\Steam" and delete the file called "ClientRegistry.blob"

When you open steam again and the problem will be solved.

Steam is currently down. And just went back up.

Or that is the reason, if steam is down there is nothing you can do but play in offline mode.

Thanks for the tip Evan but it still does the same thing after updating. Very strange and the funny thing is, I am connected to Steam but I guess not on the Online side.

Can anyone else help?

Yup that was the reason. Steam was down... Man, you don;t get these kinds of prblems with BF2..... If it wasn't for the obsolete graphics and hackers I'd still play it lol. COD is my new home now :)

I was experiencing the same thing a few hours ago but now its back up.
