    Intel 45nm price cuts

It looks like this hot summer will become more bearable for us regular folks, thanks to a couple of initiatives coming from some of the biggest hardware ...

    Cheap 45nm procs ftw!

Not many people might be interested here. NVIDIA is going to roll out GeForce 9300 chipset for LGA775 as well. Intel G35 motherboards might appear anytime soon. AMD dominance on HTPC may be gone in a month. Though I doubt AMD will be put into serious disadvantage, since those micro ATX boards are next to impossible for decent overclocking, and 65W quad- and tri-core actually makes sense in this arena.

Well at any rate, I'll be glad to get rid of this 90nm Pentium D. :|:

This is what I hate about upgrading PCs, I just bought an E8400 yesterday for $190 and now they're going to cut the price...

Once you have spent the money, just don't care about market price and enjoy it. It is essentially the same to buying a car. Almost all consumer product you buy can not be resold at market price anyway. Real estate, bounds, rare metal and stocks are different matter.

Tomorrow's the day! I wonder how low they'll drop prices on the E7200, around $100 maybe?

Hmmm... no mention of cuts on the quaddies, but I'll hopefully be ordering tomorrow anyway.

Give them a chance; most stores are unlikely to update their sites on a Sunday.
