Not to be a tard, but its funny you post a screenshot of an apparent virus tied to an address for "game hacks" on your computer, and then get banned from a server and want to get your IP changed. Coincidence???

if they dont change it i will just keep sending email after email after email until they get soo sick of it they just change it lol.. What annoys me though is why i got banned from the internode servers in the first place. i was playing on them last night and this morning im banned, maybe it was a mistake or something.

It wasn't an address it was a cheat engine.. I used it to mess around with the nudge button on MSN.. Until i figured out u can just patch it.

You do know what will happen if PunkBuster or VAC detects a cheat engine, running or not?



And they don't care what IP you are using.

Well i uninstalled the cheat engine as it was carying a Worm, Trojan and spyware :p

That is almost mandatory with cheats and hacks.

But it is a bit naive to expect that kind of thing to respect an "Uninstall" command, so you better run the whole arsenal of scanners and killers.

Oh yeah, and:

That kind of stuff has been around since at least the days of the Amiga.
And based on your link the idea seems to be the same: Change variables like hitpoints etc. directly in the memory of the application.

That probably wont fool many of todays online games, but it is still a cheat, and it is obvious from the site that cheating is the intended use of the program.

It sounds like he was banned by pbbans or punksbusted if it was because he was using cheat engine. Therefore a new IP won't help...

I don't think punkbuster would detect a cheat engine located seperate to game files on my pc would it?..

Either way if that was the case i have removed the cheat engine.

As for posting a dispute claim on there forum u need a proper internet account which i don't have atm, they don't accept hotmail or yahoo etc.

pb banned?..

I got banned from ALL internode servers, which pretty much make up 90% of the decent Aussie servers that are actually populated.. However i got my I.P. changed so i should be able to play now.

LOLWUT!! i just tried to join an internode server and im still banned??.. My IP has been changed! do i have to restart my modem or pc for it to take effect or something?..

EDIT: i just restarted both my modem and pc and i still can't join O_o
