Yup, if the GTX280/260 has much better performance and doesn't rape my bank account, yes.

Noooo Alex! Superclocked edition is physically the same as the regular EVGA 8800GT! EVGA has said so themselves and some people even got "superclocked" (650mhz core 950mhz mem) 8800GTs in regular boxes.

Is it too late for you to just buy a regular EVGA 8800GT?

Save some $$$ and get a 96GT for now and wait till next spring as you mentioned.

He's using for less than a year. His choice on whether he wants to save a bit or have a bit more performances. I don't think there's that much of a difference.

                      Perfect choice Alex :)

The 8800GT is the best bang for the buck right now, and maybe even the best in the past few years :)

The only reason i chose that superclocked edition is because it was the same price as the normal EVGA 8800gt on other sites

                          Scan: 512MB EVGA 8800GT Superclocked, PCI-E 2.0, Mem 1900MHz, GDDR3, GPU 650MHz, 112 Cores, 2x DL DVI-I - £133 (next day post)

Ebuyer: EVGA 8800GT 512MB GDDR3 256bit Dual DVI PCI-E Graphics Card with Crysis Game bundle - £139.98 (5 day post)

                          Overclockers: EVGA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (512-P2-E801-AR) - £127 (next day post)

So, it works out that i'm getting the superclocked edition for £6. I know i could do the overclock myself, but for £6, it's guaranteed. Also, i hear the 8800gt's can run quite hot, so i'd like something guaranteed.

I don't like Crysis and a 9800gtx is stupidly expensive.
