Thats just it man.... your missing it. They don't say it will go up to lets say 3.06.

It only says up to 2.66, so if you push it beyond that your violating warranty and you've broken your chip. So therefore you can't expect a full money back or replacement. See what i'm saying?

"Guaranteed to run at 3.20GHZ" - so if I buy one of them, and it breaks, dosent run @ 3.20 then I would expect money back/new one - but everyone knows C2D's are made to OC'd.

that would fall back on Overclockers.co.uk then cause they are the only ones I've ever seen advertise like that. You don't see Newegg doing that or Tiger direct... and they even prompt you with another page of warranty warning when you make a processor purchase.

Ok all this talk bout OC is getting me in the mood, i am all couraged up to do some minor OCing. Can anyone email, PM, me OC guides, like really good ones please. Is it possible to get vids of Youtube as well?

I am aiming to up my 2.66 to a full 3.0ghz.

All i am saying is that sensible overclocking is not really dangerous and can get out hidden performance. Computer builders should learn the art and practice it.

You seem to be discouraging it which is what i don't agree with.

We both seem to be on the same page here..

If you wish to OC thats fine do what you want but I don't recommend it.

If you break it cause of Overclocking then its your fault and those that commit fraud to claim its a defect thats where I'm putting my foot down as that being plain out wrong.
