Just stick with one 8800GTX. Honestly, you'll be fine for now.

The 9800 GTX is of course going to be faster. And if it is cheaper go for it. It's just to your benefit to wait a little while longer for the real improved cards to hit the market. No one can REALLY say that they will be amazing but we can all assume so.

for the 98GTX v 88GTX you'd have to wait for the benchmarks, shouldnt be far off.Originally posted by xX5N1P3RXx View Postohh.. but would the 9800GTX be better than the 8800GTX? because its alot cheaper than the 8800GTX.. and i was thinking of sli.. so should i sli twoo 8800GTX or 2 9800GTX?
going by that guru bench 2x 88GTX is about equal to a single 98GX2 so why get 2x 98GX2's?

The way I see it:
the 9800GX2 is probably hands down the fastest single card out there right now (except it seems to lose power at the highest settings due mostly to current driver support.).
However, it costs way to much. If were to drop a significant amount, it would be worth it. But a $600 price tag just isn't.

IF u play at super high res(which this card is for) the gx2 usually doesnt do much better or lags behind the x2 even. For the price difference I dont think its worth it.
