Not even close to worth the pricetag.

I'm not sure its completely a waste. It's essentially 2 8800's in SLI, right? But from what I've read it seems that this will (or should) be gain a significant amount efficiency over a standard SLI set-up. Essentially "super SLI," right?

That might not be that bad of a deal after all since its about the price of 2 8800GTS's in the first place, but should be superior.

We'll have to wait for the benchmarks.

Its basically a Nvidia money magnet for those not knowing the next cards are coming... And I may be wrong but eVGA and BFG will not honor a jump from this card to the next GTX or Ultra using their 90/100 day step up program.

I suggest ya stay away from it too since the power connectors are also a pain in the butt from what I saw.

For once for us 2x 8800GTS's are £110 cheaper than the 9800GX2

I'm with Scinto on this, after all it does say on the source that its like two GTS's slapped together. i will stick with my 88 until really good and new cards show up, i believe my GTX can live a bit longer till i upgrade again.

I might buy 8 for Octo-SLI. I suspect we'll see the release next year.

Rumour has it that by adding 8 cards in SLI, you can play Crysis with 2xAA on 1680x1050 :yay:
