Personally, going from a desktop PC to a laptop, I can honestly say that the added options, freedom and mobility is well worth the "X%" loss in perfomance. I can live with playing with worse graphics. Best choice Ive done. If there was a PC with X price, and a laptop with X price, and the perfomance was worse by 25% on the laptop, Id take it in a heartbeat.

Dunno depends on how big the mini Atx you wanna get..bear in mind the 3870 is dual slot....but then again you could put a custom cooler on and overclock more!

Theres always the option of the new 512Mb 8800 Gts too

thnx for everything guys, im really considering the laptop now. im not a hardcore gamer. I just get like 1 game, and stick with it for a long time. I moved from Battlefield 1942, to Call of Duty 2, and now Battlefield 2 for like that past year.

I kinda reconsidering a desktop though, WAY more powerfull, for almost the same price, and it does look nicer in my room with the 20 inch flat screen moniter. Its also from HP.

Why not bring your desky to uni Eagle?

I bring my massive Coolermaster Cosmos (which is twice the size on an Antec 900) to uni. But, i take it from on holidays in my car.

                    Where's the problem with that?
