Garcia2100, If your from the UK goto this site, they do custom built computers to your spec also sell pre-built ones too.

If you not in the UK i am not sure which is the best shop to goto. Sorry.

It will, its only 25% slower than an a desktop 8800gt you should really do some reaserch

1600x1200 - Performance in New Titles
            World In Conflict "High" 28fps
            Unreal Tournament 3 "High" 72.94fps
            Crysis "Medium" 57.53fps
            Crysis "High" 20.25fps

Thats some DX10 titles for you on the 8800m gtx and thats on 1600x1200, which you dont really need on a laptop because of the smaller screen size

I mean playing in DX10 mode, in DX9 mode i'm sure its' fine. Maybe if the resolution is relatively low, you could bang out a reasonable frame rate on DX10.

For DirectX 10 on Crysis, all options must be "very High".

So the framerates taken in that test don't depict DX10 on any of those games.

Maybe you should do some research as to the difference between DX9 and DX10 in the same titles

Ok, well I'm pretty sure that no graphics card, mobile or not, can play Crysis in DX10 at all high settings anyways..

I wouldn't look at those places. CCOnline, Cube 247 and the other more "gamer" aimed companies would do you better. You'll see adverts for loads of them in magazines in Custom PC magazine etc...

Garcia if you wanted to save a boat load of $ try building your own,You have alot of realy smart folks on these forums im sure would help you with any question you may have while doing the build.

If you have no idea what flows smooth with what, give a budget and maybe some one here(time permiting) could give you a list of hardware that works smooth with each other.

Its just a thought but IMHO i would trust alot of the guys from TGN be for i would trust any one from Dell/Alien ware.

                            Good luck :salute:

the point im trying to make is that there are good graphics cards for laptops you just have to lose an arm and a leg to be able to afford one

I mean the desktop 8800gtx cant run crysis on very high without it being a slideshow

Nope. An Ultra struggles on Very high (which means DX10) above 1280x1024. So, no.
