Only things i would say is that the graphics card is a little low. Do they sell the 8700 or 8800 and the hard disk is relatively slow. Can you get a 7200rpm one?

Otherwise, it's good. Nice quantity of RAM.

Yeah, that should play BF2 fairly well, but forget about modern DX10 games due to the GPU.
      Oh, and W00t! 900th post!

The 8600M GT is a DX10 card, it's just pitifully underpowered for DX10 games, so see if you can upgrade to the 8700 or 8800 as Alex said.

No laptop card at the moment will even touch a DX10 game. So, in effect, your laptop will only play in Dx9 mode.... unless you like slideshows.

No laptop as far as i am concerned will be able to play any DX10 Games currently out at decent fps looking nice. If you want a gaming pc get a desktop which will be much much cheaper and faster & will last longer as it does not cost half the price of the unit to upgrade in the future.

Also, its DELL, they are crap. If you want a good brand & good specs look for a HP Laptop.

I have just been reading a review about this and its impressive but the resolutions it can play at are not very high for this day in age.

Alienware is a rip off company.

A mobile 8800gtx will still not play DX10, especially not on a laptop.

i REALLY wanted a laptop, since i will be going to college, but i can settle for a desktop if it does come out cheaper and better. I mean, cheaper and better, what more should be said? Anyone know of good deals out there for desktops that wont cost no more than 1200. HOPEFULLY even under 1000.

Are you prepared to build your own, or would you like a factory built one?

if you want to build your own, i spent 1200 on mine, and its ranked 97% on 3dmark06.
