dual 8600gt vs 8800gt

honestly i would get the 8800 GT but thats me talking lol alot of other people on here know more about that then me but from my point of view if u want something to last a bit longer for the long run the 8800 GT is the way to go, for me anyways, see i had the money for the GTX but i just went with the GT because i dont have a big monitor, plus alot of peeps stated the GTX was overkill unless i am playing high end games like crysis which im not

the gt and gtx are almost the same.. and no it is not overkill.. no card is over kill right now.. they need to make somthing beter for crysis cuz the gtx will not even play it

SLI is like inviting trouble with new games. Almost all the fixes nVidia currently is making to ForceWare are SLI related.

While the idea is good the implementation is still lacking. You spare yourself some pain if you go with single cards. Plus the PSU has to have 2 6xPIN power connectors. Also because SLI cases tend to be quite cramped spacewise you need to take care of the proper case cooling in a more serious way than with single card.

will 430w be sufficient enough to run an 8800gt, e6750 etc?
and the case im getting - thermaltake soprano midi case- does this have sufficient cooling - 1x rear 120mm fan, 1x front 120mm fan & 1x side 90mm fan?

8800GT needs 400w. A 600w psu would be your best bet.

also how much difference is there between 677mhz and 800mhz ram?
