Ha ha, nice one Alex!
I love my P180, the dust filters mean i have to clean out the inside so infrequently.

37C is body temp. the idea that your electronics are working at an efficiency approaching 4B years of biology leads me to wonder:Originally posted by looqasJust a friendly advice for those who think dusting is not such a big deal.
I was having blue screens lately when playing. I ran orthos and it resulted the same eventually when the temps hit 80C on CPU. The idle temps were somewhere around 45-52C. :dead:
I have OCed the E6750 to 3,2GHz with 1,375V.
The 8800GTS GPU idle temps @ 620/2000 were at 67C at full fan blow :shakehead
I openened the case and in two months the heatsinks were buried with very thick layer of dust. It seems that my room is more dustier than the previous room where the comp was in.
Anyway. After some serious dusting the idle temps went to 25C and under load 45-47C on CPU. The GPU idles at 60C @ 70% fan and in use 67C at 100% fan cycle.
Those are pretty big drops we are talking about here.
a) are you living in a polar climate, which would explaing the nominal temps
b) is your thermo sensor out of whack.
either answer, or any other could explain the result, but getting a *cold* temp relative to room temp usually requires some inventive cooling, unless you're wrapped in a blanket to begin with.

Tends to be a bit chilly here in Finland. Room temp is 20-22C. I've taken care of ventilation with case fans so the temps are for real.
Besides you lost me with human temps at 37C idea. I'm not exactly hugging the CPU.

Nope, I've seen a fair number of C2Ds hovering around 10-20*C even with a high room temperature. It's the "leave it for a while and it freezes your bollocks off effect", touch any old metal object after leaving it for a while.
