Just a friendly advice for those who think dusting is not such a big deal.

I was having blue screens lately when playing. I ran orthos and it resulted the same eventually when the temps hit 80C on CPU. The idle temps were somewhere around 45-52C. :dead:

I have OCed the E6750 to 3,2GHz with 1,375V.

The 8800GTS GPU idle temps @ 620/2000 were at 67C at full fan blow :shakehead

I openened the case and in two months the heatsinks were buried with very thick layer of dust. It seems that my room is more dustier than the previous room where the comp was in.

Anyway. After some serious dusting the idle temps went to 25C and under load 45-47C on CPU. The GPU idles at 60C @ 70% fan and in use 67C at 100% fan cycle.

Those are pretty big drops we are talking about here.

I use a vacuum, and to all that think this is horrible to do, I pry off each of my keys to clean my keyboard. :)

I fried a motherboard from dust once. The PC sat on my think living room carpet for about a month (with out it being cleaned or the room being dusted/vacuumed). When I turned it on to get some work done *zap* it burned itself out.

Hmm, I actually bought a (expensive) can of compressed air for just this purpose a few weeks ago.
Maybe I should get around to using it before Fate notices me

WOW!!!!!

I blow my rig out twice a month,its not that i have to but it is nice to know that it ISNT dusty in there and the fans are clean,as i give it the two cans of compressed air each time ill clean all six fans if they look dingy at all.


Is that normal?or do most people not clean their pc that much even?
