Apparently, it's new monitor time/Student loan time

Right, well, i need a new screen. 17" just doesn't cut it anymore, especially when i need to line up two documents side by side for my uni coursework.

Thus, i did a little research and found 4 screens, all 22" which cost roughly the same.

However, i don't know which brands are better or what features to look for. could someone just look through them and give me an idea of which one i might want!
    Here they are:

    1. HANNS.G 21.6"TFT Widescreen 1680x1050 1000:1 300 cd/m2 5ms HDMI/VGA Speakers 3 Years Warranty

    2. Belinea 2225S1W 22" Widescreen (1680 x 1050 WSXGA+) 5ms 1000:1 Black & Silver MultiMedia TFT Monitor 3 Years Warranty

    3. Acer AL2216W - Flat panel display - TFT - 22" - widescreen - 1680 x 1050 - 300 cd/m2 - 700:1 - 5 ms - 0.282 mm - VGA (HD-15) - black/silver

    4. CIBOX C2201 22'' Widescreen TFT 1680x1050 1000:1 300cd/m2 5ms inc speakers 3 Years Warranty

I say go for the hp line of monitors.

I have the 20.1 inch model which is the w2007, but I'm pretty sure they go up to 22"

      Here's a picture-

The monitor itself is awesome, it has a glossy screen, and it just looks awesome.

The picture is even better. It's the sharpest and brightest and most colorful display I've personally ever seen. It also has a 5ms response and 1000:1 contrast. When I went to the store to look at monitors, I immediatly saw this one and the picture is just amazing. The 20.1 inch is around 250 (US), I'm not sure about the 22 inch though.

I strongly suggest you take a look at it.

That HP will cost about £200 plus, way over my budget!

Yup, about that. I simply can't afford much more. I might, just might be able to do £170, but that would be it (incl. P&P obviously)

I went to the ATM and rethought my budget after i saw the distinct lack of funds availble

                  And @ Scinto

I quite wanted a 22" screen. What is wrong with the ones i suggested, just bad quality?

You'll be surprised at what you can squeeze up. I have 70cm of desk width, and here's a 70 cm deep CRT sitting on it with a luxurious 40cm to spare. Stick it against the wall, push it forwards, etc.
