I'm a pretty hardware savvy person, but I'm new to dual cores. I'm planning on getting the Core 2 Duo E6600 and it says the clock is 2.4Ghz, does that means its 2.4Ghz combined between the two cores or 2.4Ghz on each core? Thank you very much for any information.

Re: Dual Core Question
Oh, yes it would be considered fast, very fast.
The point im trying to get across is that you cannot compare a processors performance in terms of its frequency. For example, a 1.8ghz Core 2 Duo E6300 will run considerably faster than a 3.0ghz Pentium 4 as they are different architecturesComment
