With your system i would say just wait and save up and wait until the next generation of games come out before spending a lot on a card that will easily become outdated

Well, I probably won't be able to upgrade for a few years so I'm stuck with what I have till then which means no PCI-e also. So, if I can upgrade cheaply, I would entertain doing so. Only problem I see is that my monitor uses a DB9 serial connection and the HIS X1950 Pro 512 AGP 8x card has two DVI slots.

Does anyone know if DVI --> DB9 converters can be found?

I've never seen that connector before, and I haven't found a single db9 to vga converter, let alone dvi.

I guess it comes with a DVI to VGA adapter. Had to order a PCI-e to Molex 4-pin adapter for the power supply connection though as my PSU is an oldie (450 watt).

(Hopefully they don't package me one b/c it cost 20 bucks after shipping for a shielded one.)
