Experience WWII Mod Update

There is a new update posted today over at the Experience WWII mod website. They are back today showing off a new weapon, the MG-15. Take a look:

The MG-15 was developed by Rheinmetall for Germany's Luftwaffe as a flexible mounted machine gun, but was also used in the fixed position as well. Though, by 1943, the obsolete MG-15 was gradually being phased out of the fixed machine gun role, and was replaced by the more effective 13mm and 15mm machine guns. A number of MG-15s were modified with a stock and bipod for use with Lufftwaffe infantry units on the ground, as the Luftwaffe had no need for lighter calibre fixed weapons. It remainded in service until the end of the war as a flexible defense armament mounted in aircraft.

For the length of the gun, the barrel is really short. I guess it's like that so that the front and rear weight about the same; it is intended for pintle mounting on aircraft.

well this is a gun that hasn't been put in many mods/games, only the hardcore flight sims for example. Most games and mods just put a Mg34 in the back of their german planes, so that's why this weapon may look strange to you
