Which graphics card?

im going to get another graphics card soon and was wondering what card you recon i should get any ideas as i think mines melting from to much bf2 lol
its a asus 256mb not the best but its lasted me a year or too now.

my spec is
pentium 4
2.8ghz
kingston 1 gb ram
asus graphics card (256 mb

whats the type? AGP or PCI-express? for AGP get the X1950 pro and for Nvidia get the 7900 GS, it runs BF2 nicely and no 1 gig is fine as long as you play all medium with 1 or 2 things on high

Is the 7900 GS the best AGP card you can get? I don't have the funds to upgrade my whole rig just yet so right now I'm working with an X850 XT which can run BF2 no problem but upgrading cheaply would be nice.

the 7900 GS is PCIE, the 7800 GS is AGP and so is the x1950 pro

You can also get a 7900 in AGP, check Newegg here and which of the two, 7900 or x1950, would you recommend? I've been partial to ATI/AMD for a while now but I don't really have any qualms with switching to NVidia.

peen the x1950 is your best bang for your buck,i would get it.

The best AGP card available right now is the GeForce 7950 GT 512MB. Overclocks well too.

With your system i would say just wait and save up and wait until the next generation of games come out before spending a lot on a card that will easily become outdated
