I'm assuming most of us know of todays shooting. Well, now we have a culprit, turns out the killer (or the brother ... or someone named like him) liked Mass Effect on his FB account and now we should all go blame Bioware! (sarcasm)
Can't wait to see if Bioware makes some kind of statement.Comment

Saw that yesterday, about 20ish hours ago: https://twitter.com/TGN/status/279765325573156864I'm assuming most of us know of todays shooting. I had a thing written up about it and everything. Basically slamming the media for such gross incompetence. Slamming them for that, slamming them for interviewing kids right after this happened, slamming them for linking to the wrong damn Facebook and Twitter accounts that they were claiming belonged to the killer and thus making a villain out of others who share the name but had nothing to do with this.
And now, they're going to run this shit into the ground for the next however many weeks. They're going to make it political about gun control (most already have). They're going to give constant reminders about what happened instead of just letting the families grieve. There's going to be yearly news stories about it every mid-December now. I had a big thing written up but then TGN's database just goes and craps itself and it was all lost.
And between all of that and yesterday's events, and the fact that on the way back from somewhere today I saw a tree in someone's front yard. On the tree was a sign hanging from a branch. On that sign was "For the liar Obama"... I knew people like this existed, but I just didn't want to believe it. I didn't want to think that there were these types of people near enough to me. I've seriously lost what little remaining faith in humanity I had remaining because of these past couple of days.
Unfortunately, I cannot. It's gone. I'm not happy about it either.
Edit: Great and now I'm getting DB errors when trying to post again yet this still went through.Comment

That reminded me that I should go on facebook and like the bioware and mass effect page.I'm assuming most of us know of todays shooting. Youre exactly right Zips, its the same thing over and over. People want to blame third parties for actions. Society just cant accept the fact that every individual has choices and sometimes there are consequences for them.
This isnt some kid that saw a game and decided to try it out in real life. This was a disturbed 20 year old adult that KNEW 5 year olds and teachers wouldnt be carying guns.
Same with the Mall shooter. Went right to a no gun zone. You never see these guys attack a police station or military base. Its always a store-front or old folks home or dark movie theater.
I was reading a post from China about this guy attacking a school, with knives. Stabbed 20 kids. No guns, no videos games, just another disturbed person.
We like to pretend we are a civilized world now and beyond the "wild west" days, but we really are not. You all see it just as well as I do, Im sure.
Another rant story; About 3 months ago gas shot up one day. It was $3.90 everywhere, except Sams Club, where it was still $3.50 or $3.60. You get the idea. I get my gas there and needed it that day. HUGE line. So Im waiting and waiting, just like everyone else and this old old man gets out of his car and fills it up then pops the hood and starts filling up a few gas cans. People got UPSET. A couple guys got out of their cars and started yelling. Not at the guy, just blowhards wanting to let the guy know how upset they were. Finally the guy finishes and takes off and the other guys get back in their cars and life goes on.
It just made me realize how there was almost a situation right there, over a couples dimes. I was almost on E and me waiting in line saved me a whopping $5. I have a truck, so the tank is a little bigger, but Im not going to yell at some old man because I might lose the chance to save $3 to $5 bucks.
Anyway, I guess thats my rant on that
