No, there is no snap. Thats the thing; there's about as much proof for aliens as there is not. To say that there are none or that they never been here is going against the same evidence that says they have been here or there are.
Until they fly in like District 9 or Independence Day, people will say or not and even when they do, there will still be people that say or not. Its like the moon landing; 25% of Americans to this day do not believe it happened.

They may not have. I dont know. All I can say is that I havent seen any. There are a lot of people out there that say otherwise and there is a lot of evidence of things that cannot be explained away. It can be ignored or no longer looked into, but its not thoroughly explained.
