I always think of >_> as shifty eyes and usually use it in combination with <_<. (looking both ways to make sure no one is watching)

personal statements are hella hard to write without being boring/rattling off a list of achievements.


Short essays (like 250 words) are harder to make look good though, imo, because you have less space for the fluff and stuff that make them look good.
