That 15% is more than the 1%-2% you were spouting. :)

The 30% is in the gaming benchmarks. Who gives a **** if it's single-threaded, the Conroe has the advantage there. All else stays equal in the game, and the processor is changed to a Conroe.

You still don't think they exist? How do you explain the Woodcrest processors, based on the same core, that just came out? Stupid to think that Intel wouldn't release the Conroe after releasing the Woodcrest.

I said 1-2% in the overall 3Dmark 06 scores which is true. You said Conroe wins by 30% in 3Dmark which clearly isn't true even with the CPU tets. You're the one who brought up the CPU tests which show 15%.

Maybe you need some reading comprehension classes.

I care if it's single threaded. We've all seen the single threaded hyped benchmarks. I want to see dual core benchmarks which I posted with 3Dmark 06. Where is the dual Super PI?

I'm not refuting Conroe's strengths, I'm exposing it's weakness. You have no answers for that.

You don't know what answers I have noob. :)

You DID NOT say overall 3DMark scores. You said "in applications that use both cores such as 3DMark06." Anyone with half a brain would look at the CPU scores when comparing CPU scores, not my fault that you're the kind of idiot who would look at the whole score.

My 30% was in direct response to your 1%-2%. Clearly, when you compare entire systems, the Conroe leads by that much.

You're the only one who cares about Dual threads. Go cry yourself to sleep now.

The Conroe has few weaknesses. :)

Every weakness that you've "exposed" still has the Conroe owning the Athlon 64s.

Insults seem to be your only defense.

I have quotes and benchmarks while you just post a bunch of insults and jibberish that no one even said. You're right I don't know what answers you have because you bring nothing to the table. You have nothing refuting my claims about Conroe's dual core weakness.

It would probably be better for your rep if you didn't even reply in this thread anymore. I won't be the one crying myself to sleep.

Lol, I wouldn't be talking about insults if I were you, since you've done little else than try to insult me in this thread.

You have no basis for your arguments but Bullsh*t that you've made up yourself, and interpreted wrongly at that, haha.

            I laff at you.

I want to see only one thing Flanker. I want you to show me MULTIthreaded benchmarks, that use BOTH of the cores. You seem to have a lot of graphs and benchmarks, so I am sure you can come up with this one.

Show one to me, and I will be quiet.

Okay, well from what I've seen here, Conroe will benefit almost no-one unless they have a super high-end video card solution. The thing is that Conroe will not offer much for these high-enders anyway because they can already run everything maxed out without lag...several hundred dollars for like...5FPS? And I'm already at 65FPS? No.

Pretty much. And with the price drops that are coming for AMD anyone with a current AMD rig can upgrade to a proc that will keep them happy for another year on the cheap.

If your looking to build a whole new rig though, the Conroe is an excellent option.

I think my take on this is that yes, games may not show massive performance improvements with a Conroe, however they are still great CPU's and a damn good choice if you're making a new computer, whereas Netburst was teh poop.

I personally also do a bunch of converting (music and videos for my iPod), so Conroe's performance there is really nice.

Benchmarks need to show the minimum framerate aswell that will help people knowing well if I get this new CPU and that video card I can expect a high framerate of 85 and a low of about 50.

                        Why is Flanker banned!

Yeah, I think the future of computer gaming is very difficult to predict.

How many people spend 5000 dollars on some new processor or graphics card equipped computer, when older ones do the same thing anyway? Other than to brag about it on support forums :)

Frankly, I think all the upgrading was almost solely BF2's consequence. Nvidia owes BF2 probably all or nearly all of its sales after BF2s release to BF2.

Otherwise, what games are there that people care about? Prey? Some new quake or doom? Well yeah, 15 people care about both, but not millions.

I dont like the direction consoles are going either....more buggy, more patches, that sort of thing.

To me its the infinite replayability and great graphics of BF2, along with RTW and Dawn of war that keep PC gaming afloat.

Congradulations, you found the 1 article that pathetically attempts to even the playing field between AMD and Intel. The only problem is that anyone who knows anything about computers knows that that article was purely a GPU test that he attempted to sell as a CPU test. Please take a look at a few cited examples of what the rest of the world is saying:
