And why? Bcause the graphics card on the average system is still the bottleneck!

Most people will see no gaming performance gain if they switch, and thats the simple truth.

That's a GPU bottleneck. Its a well-known fact that GPUs almost always bottleneck CPUs. That article is nothing new, it's all been said and known before.

But saying that the Athlon 64s are equal to the Core 2 Duos is like saying a Pentium 4 is equal to a Athlon 64.

See, with a GPU bottleneck, even a Pentium 4 3.0Ghz would get the same FPS as a 2.8Ghz Athlon 64.

But seeing a E6700 performing the same as a FX-62 for half the price. I wouldn't go with the AMD if someone paid me.

All the posts I've seen haven't said that, all they've said is that there is no 30% performance boost that was predicted with conroe.

More attempts at insults, lol. Trust me, I have nothing but the utmost faith in my knowledge. I don't think I can never be wrong, but I rarely am. I can count on my fingers on one hand how many times I've been wrong on something major that I've claimed (in computers, in the last 6 months).

What would you do if the processors came out on the 7th? Just curious.

I remember back in the day when AMD released some chips promising a much better processor. When they were showcased, they failed miserably. The P4 ran all over them, then they finally fixed the issues and came up with the Athlon 64 which we all know has done tremendously well against the P4. When the architechual cycle on the P4 ran its course, Intel came up with better technology. Eventually AMD will leapfrog back to the top. It will always be this way.
