    First of all wrong frorum.

Second the 7900 should blow away the x800.

What procedure did you follow as far as uninstalling/installing drivers? Did you use drivercleaner?

I built a new computer with the 7900 gt so i know driver conflict is not a problem. I just expected to me WOWed with the 7900 and i am not feeling it.

Are all drivers installed and up to date? MOBO chipset drivers installed? What MOBO are you using? Have you run 3dMark?

What setting are you running it at? When mine was I stock speeds, I had no problems wtih 1280x1024, all high, 4XAA.

have you set the settings to max ingame, or have you forced AA and AS in the drivers?

I have AA on in windows, yes.

I tried all high settings (same with 800xl) but added AAx2 which killed my FPS

Turned off AAx2 with all high and seems like FPS are still low. Should i be using FRAPs to guage this card ?

Either FRAPS or the in game monitor is fine. There is definately something wrong. All high with 4xAA shouldn't be a problem.

It's more like 2 x 7900 GT's frankensteined together, and you only effectively get to use 512mb of memory. It's a waste.

Let's not follow that advice and continue to find out what's wrong with his 7900gt.
Just to let you know as well, the 7950GX2 doesn't really have 1gb of ram. It has 512mb per board, and each board needs its own set of all the textures, so it really can only handle up 512mb of memory.

I can run vista just fine with a 7900gt. Hell, you can run vista just fine with an 6600gt. It's not like the Aero interface needs more power than 3D gaming...

Shut the hell up, and don't bother posting here again when you don't know what you're talking about. No you won't, anything higher than a 6600gt will be able to run areo just fine. The gx2 is a waste of money and a complete joke. Besides, vista will be running dx10 (with dx9L for compatability), so he'd need a g80 for it's full capabilities. How did you find your way in here?
