I don't even want to give this card anymore of my time. I figure return it now while i am still within the return policy.
I don't know what the problem is, but your card should be performing very well. I went and forced the crap out of the drivers. I have EVGA OC 7900gt 580/1580. OMG, I can't make the game lag.

All in game settings are on high
    8xAA (I didn't think this would work)
    16xAF
    Super sampling
    Gamma Correction

    The game looks amazing

I am not too worried about it now, just waiting for the x1900 to arrive.

Little update, i got the x1900xt and its like night and day !

The x1900xt is what i was expecting from the 7900 and it doesnt even come close. In BF2 with all high 2AA doesn't even go under 70 FRPS !

          3Dmark05 (1280x1024 2AA) stock settings on cards :

          7900GT score : 4658

          x1900xt score: 7824

using the auto overclocking ati tool program for a quick OC (i will play more later)

x1900xt score 8162 (which still has plenty more to go)

I am 110% happy with this card !

Eh, should have kept the 7900. Had more potential. But it's good you're happy.

You should be playing bf2 at 6xaa, otherwise something else is wrong. Besides, I got around 6-7k in 05 with a 7800gt, so again something was wrong. Why 05 with 2xaa? Leave it at the default settings, otherwise we have no basis for that score.

I agree, but he liked ati more so he saw exactly what he wanted with the gt (that it wasnt as good), it just gave him the excuse to go back to ati.
