Yeah, plug it in, install BF2, and watch your ass get nailed in much better resolution and graphics settings than before.

      Everyone loves a gloater.

Don't pour coffee into it. It does very little to increase it's speed/preformance and may cause it to become somewhat grouchy.

theres good news an bad news lol
alienware nolonger is ownd by alienware,
DELL brought them out this year lmfao (good move alienware lol).
so in all you'll be gettin a crap system as DELL sux big time.
an before any one starts to flame saying that they havent brought em out YES THEY HAVE.(i have friends that work for AW)
AW was way to over priced for the product that you recieve.
the only good thing about AW is the very nice looking case's.
every thing thats in a AW you could build at a fraction of the price.
try lookin on ebay for a AW case they go for about £50-100 just for the case,
intotal thats where most of your hard cash goes (to the case).
personaly i would build my own at a cheaper price an it would still wipe the floor with a alienware

What he said. People who pay a premium for a l337 rig aren't l337, they'd build it themselves for a fraction of the cash.

Although they wouldnt have got the free t-shirt.

You pay a premium for the warranty. Being l337....care factor zero. Having a machine thats top spec without any worries or compatiblity issues is worth it if you have the money

The warranty they offer is still dictated by the manufacturer of each component who replace/repair the parts if under warranty so whether you build it yourself or get a company like alienware to its no difference really.

Admittedly Alienware's support is handy for someone who doesnt know what theyre doing from time to time.

The only Alienware rig I'd like is one of their very nice gaming laptops. The desktop rigs are a a bit of a waste as you can build something just as nice for a fraction of the price. And yes, Dell do indeed own them, although I understand their manufacturing is still separate at the moment.

Yes agreed, if you're after a laptop than can game well, Alienware are pretty good. But their desktops differ little from what you can assemble with off the shelf parts.

I have a Dell XPS and I have no problems playing on any game.............ever, I agree their bog standard systems are pretty crappy but the XPS has changed my look on gaming so much.

Not 1 issue have I had so far with my machine yet all I ever hear from people using "own builds" or other company models is whining about something that went wrong with their shiznit.
