Ok since people are saying ATI is better, can someone tell me why whenever someone posts there new computer someone always say nvidia, or they always want nvidia, it seems to be the chosen brand no matter what.

Then why also does everyone suggest Corsair ram. They are far from the best, but everyone has it in their head that they should get Corsair.

hey..I got corsair cuz it was cheap

Graphics cards seem to have the most impact on performance these days, so that's where I am willing to spend the big bucks

Like Talus said, I went Corsair just because it was the cheapest RAM offered at that time.

y dont u buy the ati and if u dont like it try the nvidia. and about the flickering i have seen people say they have no problems. also i notice some stuff wit my nvidias so who knows.

I've had nothing but good luck with Nvidia. I bought an 9800 pro and it gave me nothin' but problems and RMA numbers. I finally just got a full refund and went with an Nvidia.

does it flicker on your X600, because driver updates sure as hell do more for my X1900XT then the X800 pro in my comp at my dads, ATI's drivers cater too the new cards, when the X1k cards came out i stopped getting performance increases with my X850XT. As for flickering in game, NEVER seen any with my X1900, just 6xADAA 16xHQAF gaming bliss. Also people make a big deal about HDR+AA... HQAF is way better IMO, playing without HQAF just seems so lacking now.

I agree, I can't play without 8xSA, and at least 8xaf anymore. Add in the transparency supersampling and bf2 still looks damn good.

I agree, I can't play without 8xSA, and at least 8xaf anymore.

6x Adaptive AA and 8x HQ AF > 8xSA and 8x AF + transparency super sampling.
