yea will do, still have to RMA a bad ram stick... 1GB of ram for battlefield is not fun after being spoiled by 2GB of it.

Step 3 at newegg should be shipped sometime tomorrow, but I will not get it till monday at the latest.

eVGA 7600 GT OC 580 MHz GPU 750 Memory (1500 effective)

I'm running the exact same thing, and fraps says I average about 43FPS with everything on medium, except dynamic lights & shadows, which is running on at low, no AA and AF on Low. With dynamicso ff, I get an average of 57 fps.
I got those numbers from FRAPS.

I've over clocked the card a little bit, wanna see how much of an effect that does.
          There's definitely something wrong...

          My A64 3200+ @ 2.4ghz, 2x1gb Corsair VS and Albatron 6800GT AGP @ 400/1100 & NV Silencer 5 cooler, runs BF2 at 1280x1024 2xAA, 8xAF and high settings, except dyn light/dyn shadows @ medium with 40-100 fps on 64 player servers.

Presumably you've the latest drivers (I'm using 84.37 from Guru3d.com), cleared out your BF2 gfx cache etc?
Also make sure you set the Performance & Quality setting in the Nvidia control panel to "Performance" (Doesn't seem to look any worse than "Quality" and "High Performance" doesn't seem to boost FPS that much more). You should see an obvious improvement in FPS over the "Quality" setting.

Well, I'll clear out my cache and see how that helps. I am sure I'm using the latest drivers, I'm using the warcat ones. But I'll try the guru3d ones. I doubt it'll do much though. Could it be possible that the crappy FPS is from me using windows 64 bit?

My control panel is set to high performance atm.

              (i'm the x2 4200, 7600gt, 2GB ram guy with similar/low framerate)

I un-installed and deleted all bf2 and special forces stuff, and re-installed BF2 without patching. I played around in single player mode and noticed a higher framerate (I think).

Maybe during the course of installing, patching, installing special forces, patching, patching, tweaking, patching.... something got messed up. (I also played with some of the .con files a while back)

I'm not even patching to 1.22 now, i'll just wait for v 1.3 and do it straight from v 1.0. Maybe all we need is a clean re-install of BF2.

Wow, talk about making a fool of yourself.

I, too, am interested in knowing what you used to make those charts. I've been looking for a program like that, free preferably.

You always get higher FPS in single player.

My final settings for play are 1280x1024 all medium except HIGH geometry (you can see things farther away and follow jets easier) and 2xAA. This gives me 60-80 running around with dips of course in CQC.

                  A64 3200+ stock, 2gb Ram, EVGA 7600gt CO.

I think I noticed higher single-player FPS when compared to single-player FPS from before the re-install, on Sharqi. I had been benchmarking single-player Sharqi a lot previously. Although, BF2 v 1.0 doesn't have the extra stuff that v 1.223423412 has

Does anybody disable thier page-file? I have always been deciding if that makes the game faster.

lower shadows to low and put textures on high, shadows to me have no real differance from high-medium-low.

I think that's normal. I got like 3400+. Check the online results browser (ORB) too.

I get higher 3dmark06 and 05 scores when I change "max frames to render ahead" from 1 to 7. (05 score: 6000 to 6385. 06: 3450 to 3484). If such a wierd tweak can change that much, then it means video drivers can be real important.

Chaning my ram settings also makes benchmarks change (burst length, cas latency, & timing).
