I was just wondering what settings you play on now. I am upgrading from a 6600GT, to the 7600gt that is sitting on my desk. Thing is, I am at work, and have to wait to install it....bleck. I have been playing 1024 all medium with 2xAA with the 6600gt, what setting do you use with your 7600gt for acceptable framerates?

I use a 7800 GT and I've got everything at max settings and I average about 55 fps, which for me, is fine. -

from 6600GT to 7600GT? LOL?!?!? its almost the same card. Same features and not realy faster.... buy a 6800GT its better !! or even a 7800GT I'm buying a 7900GT arriving next weak tho its an awsome card!Comment

The cards are very different. The 6800GS has a 425 Mhz core clock speed, while the 7600GT has 590 Mhz. The 6800 has a 1 ghz gpu, while the 7600 has 50 % more, 1,5 ghz (1,6 on the XFX version).Originally posted by pYura
The FPS-rate is said (and tested) to be much much higher than on the 6800 card. If you also connects two 7600s together, you get a double gpu with a total of 3 ghz, a massive amount of calculation power for a graphix card.
Also, the technology used is much newer, which saves power and reduces heat. The 6800 is an improved version of the (very good card) 6600, while the 7600 is a slightly reduced (gpu mainly) version of nVIDIAs newes cards, the 7000-family.
Im also interested in how this card works, as im gonna buy it within a month.
BTW Narynan: You can get 6800 cards with up to 512 MB of ram.

I also found these numbers, now this is for the XXX version of the 7600gt that has the highest overclock but...
Scroll on down to BF2. Those are some pretty dang nice numbers.
Woot!! I finally found it. A direct comparison betweem the 6600gt and 7600gt in Battlefield 2......same card my left foot!!
