It's a spectacular card for the money.

this is my PC specs, and what I'm runing BF2 at. I'm sure if I tweaked it some more and oc'd the vid card more, I could squeeze a few more FPS.

AMD 64 X2 4200+
Asus A8N SLI (I never knew that it was supposed to be pronounced as Ah-soos, like how you say dr. seuss' name)
eVGA 7600 GT OC (it's slightly overclocked from factory, cant' remember the clock speeds off the top of my head)
2x 1g Corsair Value Select RAM
530w PSU
Creative XFI Extreme Music (I swear by playing BF2 on ultra high)

Running at 1280 x 1024
Medium across board, AA/AF and dynamic lighting/shadows off.
Getting a sturdy 40-60 FPS in a full 64 person server. Never really dips below 20, even in teh toughest firefights.
I'm sure I could run it at all max at a lower res

You prob could run high at that res, especially if you oc'ed it.

I read an aticle that a few graphics card companies (Msi, and another) are going to release a 256BIT memory bus on a 7600GT... Might be something to look out for.

Matdef, I have no clue what I could do besides overclocking to make it run at high. I want to eventually sell this card to a friend, so I've chose against over clocking it any higher than the stock OC. If you'd have any suggestions though, I'd love it, cause I really do like playing the game with high textures... and some sort of dynamic lightings/shadow. Just the minute dynamic lights/shadows gets turned to low, the FPS sink down to 20 below

from 6600GT to 7600GT? LOL?!?!? its almost the same card. Same features and not realy faster.... buy a 6800GT its better !! or even a 7800GT I'm buying a 7900GT arriving next weak tho its an awsome card!

I have mine oc'ed, and I play bf2 at 1024*768 on all high. I average about 65-70 fps, with the usual dips into the 30's.

AMD Athlon 64 3200+ @ 2.5Ghz
2 gigs of Corsair RAM
oc'ed eVGA 7600GT

i nearly got one, but got a 7800gt instead, althought the 7600 isnt far behind it and can match the 7800 with abit of overclocking!!

the 7600gt is the ****, i got the xfx version of it. along with my thermaltake case and my 2gb of kingston ram. just need my mobo, psu and cpu.

Smaller process, less heat, lower power consumption, higher clocks, improved/faster memory... The 6-series can't touch the 7600GT.

Yea im hoping to play at 1280x1024 @ high everything, as im gonna oc it with my new system.. but we shall see how we go.

Hey all, I have done a good bit of testing with the new card. It is an EVGA 7600gt CO. I have a A64 3200+, 2gb of RAM, and a WD 36gb Raptor.

After much fiddling the setting that worked the best with my system was

1280x1024, all medium except geometry on high, and 2xAA. This setting gave me 90ish FPS just running around, with dips into the 50's in a close quarters fire fight. I can play at all high at this res, but I prefer the much higher frame rates. Just as a point of reference for people, on all high 1280, I was getting about 40-50ish fps running around, with dips into the high 20's in a firefight. While I could game at this res, I really do much better with a FPS of at least 60.

Needless to say, I am very impressed with this card. Once I got my settings all tweaked out, I got 127 points on Sharqi ground pounding my first round. It's so much easier when you can see everything!

For those that are wondering, for me at least, all high settings was nice, but I honestly cant notice THAT much difference with all medium and geometry on high....Frag you later!
