Activision is celebrating the anniversary of Destiny 2's PC launch by giving away the game for free. Yes, free.

You can claim your free copy of Destiny 2 from now until November 18th. Just log into the Battle.net client and claim your free copy. If you do so before this promotional period ends, the game is yours to keep free forever.


The announcement came from game director Steve Cotton today during BlizzCon. He notes that the free offer is for the base version of the game. This allows players to play through the original release content and get up to level 20. It also includes the original Leviathan raid and Crucible multiplayer. Those looking for the most recent expansion, Forsaken, will have to pay $40 (USD) to get it.
