The Total Gaming Network would like to announce today our plans to reshape our game specific community websites. This reshaping includes both the removal of inactive sites and changing one so it can gain more traffic. Below are a list of the sites that will be removed within the next 24 hours:
• Total Grand Theft Auto
• Total Tiberium
• Total Unreal
• Total World in Conflict
We know that a few of the dedicated members in those areas will be disappointed to see them go, and we apologize to those members, but for the overall good of TGN, we are choosing to remove them. We want to continue to grow our network and these sites we feel are just dead weight that use up some of our time where it could be better used elsewhere.
Most of the threads, if not all of them, from these sites will be placed in the system section area where they can further be posted in. Although they won't be disappear, we suggest if you have any important information or guides in these sections, be sure to back them up on your computer just in case.
Now along with the removal of a few sites, we plan on changing another site around in order to gain more traffic. Here's what we plan to do:
Total Quake -> Total id
With not a lot to discuss currently for the Quake series and the recent announcement of a few top name id Software games, we've decided to turn Total Quake into Total id. Now we know id isn't technically a game but rather a company and we haven't done that before, but since id only has a few big name series, we feel opening one site to cover all of them is better than opening three more sites in addition to Total Quake. So Total id will plan to cover the following series and any games within them:
• Quake
• Wolfenstein
• Doom
• Rage
With all of these great series and newly announced games for them, we hope to make Total id one of the biggest game communities on Total Gaming Network.
Work will begin on the new Total id website as soon as possible and you will be seeing the transition from Quake to id within the coming weeks.
Again, we apologize to any members that may be disappointed with the removal of these websites but we want to cut out any dead weight on TGN so we can continue to build and grow as a network. Thanks for reading and feel free to post any feedback in this thread.
One last note: We will be having staff openings coming very soon so keep an eye out for those!
