Whats going to be different in BFROE then BF2RS? For what I have seen on your website, they look like they do the same thing.

I'm all for this and hope this gets implemented in future games (i.e. BF 2142), but I just hope it comes with anti-jerk technology!

GJ on advancing (or at least attempting to) the fun/honesty factor for those of us who don't wish to depend on exploits and cheap play to succeed in the game! THANKS!

I'm confused. I thought the RoE had been in effect for a while? Or is that something different?

Is this going to be rolled out across all ranked servers? So it's an official thing, commissioned by EA?

First BF2rs , now bfroe , why not just let them play the game for us as well?

I'm glad 2142's out soon, at this rate bf2 won't be a game worth playing anymore, jeez it's like being back in school

Yeah, hope there's no witch hunts!

People who know the BFRoE guys will be saying "SeanKnight is stat padding, look at him over there with those...sinister eyes!!!"

(You have been kicked for stat padding, you naughty boy, you)

Not certain how this will be different than existing rules, and I'm not certain how much more effort can be made into having admins enforce these rules.

                    Anyone? Bueler?

same rules, just more people out in the public servers watching for glitchers and exploiters, which will also give players 2 places to report infractions..

Where are the rules? Can we have a look at them?

What's the rule on attacking uncapable bases? (I don't do it, and hate it when it happens)

So! Who all agrees that the TK Punish system works and is a benifet to BF2XXX ? what noone? well BF2 already has BF2 Punish and lookit all the peeps that have gone and abused it.These are the same guys who run into a flag jus after you tossed in a nade to flush out opfors. the same guy who runs infront of your jeep as you mow him down ect ect ect... Now for our gaming pleasure. not only can you TK punish (or get) for the dumbest reasons and steal points from fellow BF2 gamers,(or from you) but now you can rat them out, even if they are not doin anythin. Abuse of TK Punish should have givin Scout boy a wake up call. So how do you figure this will help the BF2 community? between EA and Dice already setting up CoD Modern Warfare for a huge exodus, but peeps are finially gonna have enough of dumb patches and even dumber ideals. The way to go is to make the game more player friendly. Commander role, do away with it,TK Punish, it sucks, it doesn t work. and a Ratting system, please!!! we have a bad enough time with nOObs and lil kids flaming and running to the EA forums tryin to rat on each other.all your doin is makin it easier. Ever hear of pandoras box? Go ahead ,open it.See if you like what comes out. Common Infinity Ward lets go CoD Modern Warfare or even the unreal boys. those guys make great games and listen to their community with the exception of CoD2. and lets not forget the war rock guys either. (The beta jus ended,so we should see somethin shortly)

You mention in your 1.9 statement that "players nay not impersonate..."...how would one be able to notice whether or not a player IS a BF2RS or BFROE admin, and how can one be properly identified and authenticated as one?

I see the admin "rules" of conduct when approached with a problem. Will the accused be given "the benefit of the doubt" or an email sent to him/her before the "admin" makes his/her judgement and passes along the "punishement"? I've never exploited nor stat-padded so I figure I'll never have a problem, but I am curious on how these rules are to be enforced and followed through.

In regards to your the 2.x section: This again begs the question on how one is to avoid being accused of any of the offenses mentioned, without having deliberately commited the offense. How can an admin decide which case was voluntary or on accident?

The language; will there be a filter that kicks/bans and will this include things such as "wtf" or "damn" or things like "assassination" or "cockpit"? I've been kicked before for telling another player I was his "assassin".

You mention to appeal for your rights AFTER being accused and punished for said offenses. There seems to be a totalitarian rule to these offenses, just as everyone and anyone can and is a Communist during the Cold War. (sorry for the overly stated analogy)

Under your privately rented rules, you mention contradicting rules that a server may impose within their regulations. If one is to follow a rule of "no prolonged or sustained attacks on main base" then the "time" for this attack can be decided by the admin as being "prolonged". To one person it may be 3 bomb runs, where another may be 15 runs. The same goes for a trooper destroying an uncappable base's enemy assets, and then defending him/herself from oncoming attack and if doing a good job, could be considered a "prolonged attack" on that base, simply because he is defending the area in which he/she destroyed.

The use of vehicles to take flags has been a Battlefield aspect since the very beginning, and once again, this rule can be taken to the point where the person flying the chopper cannot position him/herself above the flag to help capture while the rest of the team lands on the ground and captures. How can something like this be considered a problem? And using the term "whoring" is very controversial, I suggest defining what you are trying to impose as a rule, not using a laymen's term.

If I am in my DPV and I am going from flag to flag without killing anyone in the process, bringing two teammates with me, they get out, help capture and move to the next, this would also be considered "breaking the server rules"?

Using C4 to take our vehicles "can" be prohibited? This will contradict previous rules no1 can apply, such as no1 can use a vehicle. If I want to use a vehicle to "suicide" the other team's tank, and help my team advance, then why shouldn't the server admin be able to impose a rule like "no driving jeeps into other vehicles" which ruins the "fun" factor of gameplay.

I'm just very curious how you intend on implementing rules for all players and haters to follow, when they can and will contradict themselves. Any admin can and have/will decide whether or not a player is "doing something against the rules".

I know my post is long, but if you could sum up some of the answers for me, it would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and since only certain BF2 players browse forums for this type of information, those that don't will be punished because of their supposed ignorance? will there be a use for the "EA message" in regards to this aspect of the game? Like, after logging in, have the EA Message display tell the user that there are new rules implemented into "ranked" servers...more-so act as a disclaimer for those that wouldn't have known about the new set rules previous to playing.

                              Thanks in advance!
