    US Intervention Mod Update

There is a new update posted today over at the US Intervention mod website. They are back with some new media as they prepare for their first release. Take a look:
This weeks Update we take a closer look at one of our bigger more vehicle based maps. Operation Hogsmoke, a large rocky desert setting that is ideal for Armor Columns, Air to Air Combat, and of course close combat when trying to take over and defend the important cities.

The BRDM2's little sister; the BRDM2 SA-9 was coded into game earlier this week thanks all in part to our friends and partners over in the EOD Crew. Thanks again trahn! The BRDM2 SA-9 is an Anti Air variant of the BRDM2 and delivers more accurate direct hits then scares on the USI battlefield.

Last but not least we are reintroducing the T-72 Properly. Last time you saw it we weren’t completely satisfied with the way it had been coded and turned out. The Extra time given to us by the delay has given us the chance to finally fix animations on the tracks and an NSVT on top! This one has been coded by Jarlief, our dear lead coder. He rocks...

They also have released their first official wallpaper, found in many resolutions. Be sure to visit their site to get that.

well that really depends on what you class as a "full conversion"... although it is obvious a tonne of work has gone into this project... those maps look very intriguing!!

must say i am thoroughly looking forward to more open tank warfare. well done USI team!!

Yeah, the second I saw the news topic, I went to your website to see the whole thing. I must say, that is some amazing work. Everything looks top-notch.

I read the comments on your forums, and some guy mentioned how there is a BMD in one of the screenshots.

Is that supposed to be like an Easter-Egg or something? So, you are not showing the whole thing..just a sneak peek?

This Picture - The vehicle that is next to the building...

Also, the wallpaper is really nice, but it would be even more awsome if you had gunners on top of the tank - sort of like scouting the perimeter.

we are not sure about the bmd yet, it is still buggy, and it wasnt planned for the first release, We will see and you will in a little while. I want to thank EOD for helping us out with some of our models. Lately i have had a hard time finding a lot of time to dedicate becuase of school, but things are coming along very nicely. Sorry to keep you all waiting, i hope these news releases help with the wait, i know when i wasnt on a mod team, these were what kept me interested

really looking forward to the mods, screw the ranking system as soon as the mods start to come out

and i bet that even the early release of the mods wont have as many bugs as actual BF2 :P

I really hope that you could fix the BMD-1 for v.1 It's a really cool vehicle and is always welcome :)

p.s.: I hope that FAV and BTR-90 are just there(screenshots) temporarily.

The FAV and BTR will eventually be replaced with the UAZ and the BMD-1 . However, wiether or not the BMD makes it into the .1 depends on how many people come visit our forums :p
