Well it appears the folks over at PC Gamer have got their hands on a new video for the upcoming Battlefield series title, Battlefield 2142. Well that didn't take long, this game isn't finished yet and already another release this year. Well I can certainly see where the hours and manpower have been shifted.

Oh snap! I think ETQW is going to blow this **** out of the water :) The trailer doesnt look that impressive and we all know that trailers always look much better then the game itself. The flying vehicles look rigid and the mechs look cheesy. Not to mention that the teamplay is going to be nowhere what is featured in the trailer. :cry:

No wonder this game is barely patched...They need to milk the consumers for more money...

Yeah, it looks not good enough to just be a mod for BF2. The graphics weren't that improved, the explosions were familiar. And from what it looks like now, it looks like more Euro Force. All vehicles and no infantry. Boooring.

But, for what it looks like now, it better be a mod. And there better be some good infantry based levels, and some good infantry classes to be able to keep up with the vehicles. Because all that trailer was was mechs and flying ditties all over the place, and infantry running, but there was next to no cover in that level, which makes for low scoring, not fun for everyone, slow paced games (IE Euro Force except Great Wall).

About halfway through the gameplay footage, I think I saw a stealthed guy running along the ground. Stealthed? That will be horrible for gameplay.

I sure hope it's not real...

It's an interesting idea. I like the invisible thing and some other parts of it look cool, but I mean c'mon. WAAY too soon. Hardware hasn't even advanced enough for better graphics yet. This is a 2007 or 2008 game imo.
