Played for 4 hours today. No glitches, no bugs, A little quicker on loading and no stuttering frames at the start or the rounds.

Not that I saw many bugs before :) Started playing at beginning of january and I've seen the red/blue bug once and 2 anti-tank rockets fly through targets.

not sure if it's just me, i did an uninstall n install of bf2 n sf before installing a full 1.21. In single player, the graphics is better than before. But it lags like no tomorrow on pubs. I had this bad feeling it would lag in game when i saw the counter in servers browser increased slowly.

repeating uninstall n install again, hopes it helps.

Bah . The last patch really bummed me out . I don't want to have to reinstall BF2 again if this 'hotfix' puts my BF2 'out cold' .


I'm sticking to BF2 "out of the box" version . I can't get online with BF2 anyway . I think it doesn't like my hub/router/firewall or something .This really kills the replayability of the game , since I have no hope of unlocking anything .Kinda sucks , cause I'd Like to unlock some weaponry .


I think that they should have concentrated on the single player aspect of this game a lot more . I also think it should have shipped with more than 10-12 maps .


I feel somewhat let down by this game . Especially since I can't play online at all , and the single player campaign can be beaten so quickly.


Please excuse my whining .

this patch seems pretty good for, me i see a few bugs fixed, thats great, i hope they get the rest done, one day,

for the guy who dont play online u can incease your tickets so ur game will last alot longer, ie by default it set to 200 ie 100 each side,

heres the path to change it my documents/battlefield 2/profiles/serversettings.con----(open up the .con file with notepad and scroll down near the end to u see-----sv.ticketRatio 200----change it to this--sv.ticketRatio 600--- or what u like u can also change other ones use as spawn times etc, and then SAVE.

Ha . Remember in BF1942 how you could change the tickets from whithin the game ? What a novel concept !

hey, how come when I connected to the game yesterday - none of my unlocked weapons were choosable ?

I have seen this happen before also. Thought maybe it was server side or something. Then I got killed by one of my would be unlocks. I said hmmm, that's interesting and left that server. Had them in the next server and everyone since.

OMFG!! The new 1.21 patch killed my machine!!!!!! The instilation failed at 70% while unpacking user_objects.zip, my screen went white and completely hung my system. I now get a screen telling me my hard drive is bad and xp refuses to load. Thanks EA!

Well well well, youd think they'd get it right after a year!

Installed patch and Have more bugs than before, RED / BLUE name tag issue is worse. 1st game I played with v1.21 a memeber of my squad ended up with a red name tag and I shot him up :P several times! (He was even on the opposing teams player list!)

Some freinds get kicked out every map change with a "You have modified your BF2 content error" but of course then can log right back in because their content wasn't bloody modified in the first place!!

The list goes on and on....

I think my Grandma could write a better patch in cross-stich.

If you do some searching you'll be able to locate a way in which to alter one of your files and unlock all your weapons for single player.
make sure to amke a copy of the file 1st and put it back if you ever go online though.

Thanks ! I vaguely remember reading about that a looong time ago . . . 'course that's when I thought I might be able to get online with BF2. . .

It's now fairly obvious to me that I cannot get BF2 to go online , so I guess I'll do that. . .might just make the game more fun .

I finally broke down and tried the latest patch. . . .It works ! I figured that if it didin't work , I would just uninstall bf2 for good . . ..I'm glad that this will not be happening. . .once again , I say : Come on mods !

I downloaded the 1.21 patch and ran the .exe file. It seemed to have updated the software but when I go online the number of servers had dropped dramatically to almost about 24 instead of the hundreds, is there something I have missed?

Battlefield 2 v1.22 Patch Released!

Just noted the release of the BF2 1.22 patch on EA Downloader. Downloading now.

It is not yet available directly from EA.

1.21 -> 1.22 patch about 9 Mb
1.22 FUll about 360 Mb
