The team behind the <a href="http://www.pointofexistence.com/" target="_blank">Point of Existence 2</a> mod are back again with their weekly update. As always, they have a lot of new media to showcase including new renders and in game shots. Here's what they had to say:<blockquote>Our first render is sharper and more dangerous than a butter knife. This will be the second knife shown for the Ukraine team which is the Russian made Expeditionary Knife. Next weapon will be carried as one of the weapons for the German medic. Dirk has done his homework and verified that this weapon has seen service with the German army, and we thought it would provide some variety to our weapon list. So let’s introduce the Mp2a1.</blockquote><center><a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=news/images/ExKnife.jpg"><img src="/news/images/thumb_ExKnife.jpg"></a> <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=news/images/Uzi.jpg"><img src="/news/images/thumb_Uzi.jpg"></a></center><blockquote>We are sure glad that XerePro has returned to the team, and the next group of Screenshots will showcase the level he is designing. So let the speculation begin about what type of combat will take place on his map!</blockquote><center><a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=news/images/Zhy_1.jpg"><img src="/news/images/thumb_Zhy_1.jpg"></a> <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=news/images/Zhy_2.jpg"><img src="/news/images/thumb_Zhy_2.jpg"></a><br><a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=news/images/Zhy_5.jpg"><img src="/news/images/thumb_Zhy_5.jpg"></a> <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=news/images/Zhy_4.jpg"><img src="/news/images/thumb_Zhy_4.jpg"></a></center><blockquote>Both Seigman and D_fast have been working hard with getting the vehicles in game and coded. The following screenshots are of the M-1974 122mm Mobile Arty. Last two screenshots include shots of Geledonutt’s Su-24 he developed. The two screenshots represent the common paint scheme of the Su-24 when flown by the Ukrainians.</blockquote><center><a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=news/images/M1974_2.jpg"><img src="/news/images/thumb_M1974_2.jpg"></a> <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=news/images/M1974_3.jpg"><img src="/news/images/thumb_M1974_3.jpg"></a><br><a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=news/images/Su24_1.jpg"><img src="/news/images/thumb_Su24_1.jpg"></a> <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/images.php?img=news/images/Su24_2.jpg"><img src="/news/images/thumb_Su24_2.jpg"></a></center><blockquote>We would like to present <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/" target="_blank">TotalBF2.com</a> as our community website of the week. The team at <a href="http://www.totalbf2.com/" target="_blank">TotalBF2.com</a> work very hard to keep the Battlefield:2 community informed about POE:2 and all of the other mods that are being developed in the community. We appreciate the support and just want to say thanks!</blockquote>We would like to thank the PoE2 team for the appreciation they have shown for our site. Re: Point of Existence 2 Mod Update
Ehh, not as good as the usual news posts...
The Uzi is way over worn-out, it looks like someone took a sander to it.
The Vehicles both, in the opposite direction, look too clean. The skins need some detail, just not overdone like the Uzi.Comment

Re: Point of Existence 2 Mod Update
Is this mod planning on being released this year? Alot of mods just seem to be a continuing work in progress without a release date anywhere in the forseeable future.
Can I go ahead and get the boosters (expansions), or is POE2 going to be coming out soon enough to avoid spending the $20 on both packs?Comment

Re: Point of Existence 2 Mod Update
Agreed for the most part, although the uzi is a little too dirtied up... I mean, thats like assuming AK's should be skinned like they've been dragged through deserts, even if they are AK-74M's from the latest batch from russia, or PZ-61's(Or whatever the latest polish variant is) being the same.Originally posted by _Hazard_the Uzi is an old weapon, it deserves to look dirty, as for the arty and plane, your right, there brand new, needs some spray on mudComment

Re: Point of Existence 2 Mod Update
Knowing PoE, they won't be satisfied with their mod until its near retail realase quality. Kudos to them for their dedication to such a high level of modding.Comment

Re: Point of Existence 2 Mod Update
PoE is blowing my mind. Not because of what they have done or where there going but because of their strong focus on landscape. They are putting as much effort into the Land scape as they are the weapons and vehicle models. Ifind this to be amazing. PoE you Landscapes colors, layout, and overall detail is amazing. Please keep up the good work.Comment
