There is a new update posted today over at the <a href="http://orhmod.totalbf2.com/" target="_blank">Operation Restore Hope</a> mod website. They have a lot of new media to showcase today. Here's what they had to say:<blockquote>Its been a while sence we had a news update due to everyone having a life, but we managed to get some stuff done. We are in need of a talented skinner capable of skinning the player models below. We have produced alot of models that haven't got a skin yet, and we really need some help to get the work done faster. Looks good, but why remake two guns that are already in the game, at the beginning of the development of the mod, I would have left them at low priority until mid development.

That Colt looks WICKED!!

Player models look awsome, but isn't ti strange when you the dude would have the gun in his hands, but you can still it on his back(2 guns at the same time)

thts nice but you are going to deal with those comments all the time - the model looks up to scratch (i guess) but the skin isnt as good as the original G3's... and although you say you want all original weapons - all the time modelling, unwrapping, skinning, bundlemeshing, coding and importing could have been used to do something NOT ingame then you wouldnt have to deal with people saying "why do it?" what it comes down to is this - it is a race to release these mods while BF2 is "alive", thus stuff tht isnt in game should take an infinitely higher proirity over stuff tht is - see how much time you have left in 4 months then see if it is worthwhile redoing something tht is ingame... cause at the moment it is like you are treading water

I don't look on it as a race, I just want everything to look nice
And getting stuff ingame takes me 5-10 minutes so why not do it?

I think it's nice that they made their own model, cuz if they didn't than they would have guns of different quality (BF2 vs. their mod)

We really want to be different and have our weapons look used unlike poe (no offense) What would be the point if we just copied the exact weapons, it would basicly feel the same just different maps.

hehehe no offence but i wouldnt be comparing your skins to POE lol (they dont look anymore "used" if anything just different styles of skinning) besides - your G3 is so similar to the ingame G3 tht it all just looks like a casual reskin.... so what difference would reskinning the current g3 make? meh its good work all the same... and icy - did modelling skinning and unwrapping take you ten minutes? tht was what i mainly meant its good work all the same....

It looks like CiS quality. And no offense, but CiS wasn't even quality enough for bf1942...

The colt look fine though, dunno why the rest of the guns aren't as good.

You can blame my ****ty gfx card for that.

Modeling takes me 2-5hours, unwrapping is a pain in the ass and might take 2 hours aswell, but I got plenty of time

Anyways, C&C is always nice even though it kicks me in the face sometimes :p
