Patch is nice. Like the throaty engine's in the cars this time.

Wake Island is kinda growing on me, although from what people are saying about the 1942 version, it's missing some good features like sinking the ship etc, although that wouldn't be BF2 now would it.

One glitch I noticed was selecting spawn points can sometimes mean clicking numerous times before it's actually "selected". Don't remember that glitch before the patch.

From what was posted on IGN's review of the patch, he mentioned something like you need to click litterally right on the spawn point, not around it or something like that.

OK.... now some of these things im hearing from you guys i havent experienced at all. My stats and ranks, and unlocks updated within 5 mins of playing.

As for this multiple clicking on spawn points? Ive never had this problem and i still dont.

Did DICE finally put down the crack pipe and stop punishing for TKs when someone is stupid enough to walk up and kiss a claymore? If not why remove the Arty tks?

ok i believe i found a bug, i was flyin gunner in a USMC Attack chopper and the pilot decided to go kamikazi on an enemy APC, i was shootin at it and when he crashed into it and blew us both up I recieved a TK for killin the pilot ...anyone else encounter this?

I have a serious problem here!
I installed the patch, since then I can't connect to any servers, coz it's saying: "Your cd-key is not valid".
???????????????
I've got original game. I'm installed the patch above the 1.02 version. The game is in C:\Battlefield2. The registry is right (otherwise the 1.03 couldn't go up...).
The game is working with the 1.03 on the main screen, I mean I can compare, add to favorites, and stuff, but it sucks, because I can't play now :cry:


Anyone having the same problem, or a solution???
I'm a little bit angry, to put in a soft way...

OK, the patch is nice.

- I don't get anymore "beginning" lag when connecting to a server, so far
- My FPS are between 50-80fps at most times
- The textures seem "nicer" with everything set to ULTRA_HIGH now, they don't look exactly like HIGH
- I like the new sounds, especially the tanks. They sound robust

I find the AA missiles worse than they were. They tend to past right by helicopters. Weird.

So far, no real complaints!

Reboot your PC maybe? Maybe reset your router or/and modem?

No router here; reboot didn't work

I'll try to reinstall everything tomorrow: original dir, 1.03 on 1.00, doing all stuff according to the Bible... I'll sleep now, it's 3 a.m. here. Bad dreams that I foresee.

Good going ea. You didnt fix the Red Tag glitch or the "Badger" bug. Also, on wake island, if your teamates destroy the "enemy" artilary units, you hear "artilary is condition red" as if its your arty. Im disapointed.

It would have been nice if u could have addressed the unsquadded player issue. ie; 1 squad & 20 singleplayers isn't much of a team game in my humble opinion.

Just to add a positive note to this (mainly) whinge fest...

I waited up until 2am Melbourne time, downloaded the patch, installed it and played until 4:30am on a school night.

Everything worked perfectly - the Wake map is great fun if somewhat frustrating to attack on - but great.

Sorry to hear about some of the install problems - but the other issues raised ("I don't like the new Jeep sound", "I've got a much bigger rank") sound a lot like spoiled brat bleating to me - there seems to be a tendency in many of our fellow posters to think the only cool post is a bitch. I respectfully disagree.

I love the new patch - and because I'm such a crap player, getting a new unlock and a rank upgrade made me feel like a valuable human being.

YMMV.

Haven't experienced that problem but did notice the Commander no longer gets credit for all his artillery kills. After I patched BF2 I played a couple of rounds as commander and got less that 5 kills credited to me at the end of each round and I know I killed a lot more than that. Also noticed the enemy Commander had the same low kill score and he too was getting a lot of arty kills in the game.

Anyone else?

I searched over the forums and I know it is early but.... I am having some issues. I downloaded the patch just fine and installed it. I rebooted my system as a precaution and now my computer will not recognize the CD in the drive. I have tried other dvds/cd just to check and they work fine! It is only the BF2 CD. BTW I have the the PC CD version not the DVD disc. Anyone else having this problem? Kick this into a new thread if you want. I just figured everyone 9is looking here right now.
