Ow btw:

I don't have the game in the default directory and have a medium system, but:

no problems patching (although it did ask for 1600Mb free on my windows install disk)
no ctd
no crashes whatsoever
no lag
quite a lot of server reboots on EA UK servers tho

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem, but I'm having problems with the browser still...

I update, it updates with about 150 servers now. So I change it to 16 player maps only. I hit update, and it goes blank. So I check 32 player maps and update, and it still is blank. No servers show up. So I go back to 16, 32, and 64 and it still ends up with no servers shown.

Anyone else getting that problem?

I take it that no one is having problems with the browser?

Ya I'm also having HUGE problems with this patch.......




Deciding which 3 weapons to unlock now that I just went up to GUnnery Sgt in 3 kills WOOOOOOOOTT!!!!

This patch rules, Wake looks SICK. Everyone is finally mixing up the weapons (the more the merrier) and the carcasses are flying.

damn the patched ranked me up to Gunnery Sargeant w/ 3 unlocks. Cool. I'm having problems with the browser, filtering out ranked servers and names. They never come up. I continually have to refresh now.

Same here, if you change any of the filters, and hit update... It wont bring up anything?

it seems EA is adding more ranks for those ppl wit no lives JK lol... ppl wit 75k+ points rejoice

Sweet but what i dont understand is Broggi, aragoth and the other top players on the leaderboard are only Sergeant Majors?? and they have over 100k points?

SO HOW MUCH DOES IT TAKE TO BE A 1st Lieutenant?

One thing i notice ISNT FIXED is the netcode robustness.

I'm still getting loads of server disconnects that for me seem to occur later in my evening here. I can start of playing full rounds, but as the time in the UK gets closer to 11pm, I start getting loads of random disconnections and lag.

Its almost like the servers are busier, so there's more lag and suddenly the whole system reaches its limit and barfs your connection.

ITS REALLY ANNOYING as it becomes unplayable.

Is anyone else having a problem with getting ranks to update? I got promoted three times in-game, and my stats have updated. I've logged in and out, and still no promotions. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Nothing, the server you are playing on has not yet been able to update EA's servers. Just wait a while and eventually it should update.

OK, so the person that wrote the patch doesn't update unless it's in the default path, is on crack. I just ran the patch, installed fine, without any issues.

Maybe YOUR installation was done wrong, who knows.

Patch is nice. Like the throaty engine's in the cars this time.

Wake Island is kinda growing on me, although from what people are saying about the 1942 version, it's missing some good features like sinking the ship etc, although that wouldn't be BF2 now would it.

One glitch I noticed was selecting spawn points can sometimes mean clicking numerous times before it's actually "selected". Don't remember that glitch before the patch.
