Can't wait for this, with all the other fixes in too then things should be smoother now, as for the arty tk thing, I'll wait before I pass judgement.

As a sir member earlier pointed out the jets on this map will be interesting but with the new improved AA missile accuracy I'm sure they'll get whats comin to 'em too

This Wake Island looks good, I wish they did some of Desert Combat's urban maps.

BTW,what happened to the 200+ fixes?

Show me where "200+" was posted and I'll give you the patch now. :p

The number was between 130 and 140 and not all of them are worthy of news entries as most are insignificant tweaks or alterations.

Looks like most of the changes will be good, but the jury is still out on the ARTY!

The AA tweak will help with those good pilots that keep me in the “waiting to respawn”(hehe) before I can shoot down a helo or get lucky and shoot one of the jets down.



Things that are missing on the list:

- Friendly red name tags.

- Mine not counting as a TK or a change in colors for the Mines vs C4 or a better warning for the mines ie. audible warning as you get near them.

- Repair rate on the BH/ transport Helo in flight.

- Control Point cap bug (ie. flag goes up but doesn’t count on the mini map or as a spawn point or a flag that doesn’t even go up with half your side next to it with enemies in sight.)

I’m sure there is a few more, but I’m drawing a blank right now.

Maybe some of those will be in the “…and, of course, more. Look for the patch soon.”


Why do people have to flame someone for just saying he likes the Wake Island map?
I think that any map that they add will rock, because all of the stock maps rock now.
Of course some people will like to only play city maps, and that’s cool. I personally like playing all of them; it makes for a good change of pace and tactics.

The patch doesn't seem too bad from the post's description. As mentioned previously, I hope the client performance and server performance issues will be resolved.

The vehicle TKing will be a nice change.

The AA being more effective against enemy jets will be great, about time there is something a AA unit can do against them, pretty useless normally, only useful against helos.

As I previously posted though, I could care less about the "new" map and other unimportant issues.
