It'd better be the patch of the year if it hopes to turn the game that was supposed to be game of the year into just that... Don't get me wrong, I still like the game alot and even the in-game balance isn't too much of a problem in my estimation, but the browser problems are absolutely inexcusable. Here's hoping that the patch is out in the next few hours and that it fixes the browser and even the other issues that the community is concerned with....

I am amazed at the very short memories of the EA fan boys that post here on this site seem to possess. Have you completely forgotten what happened with that last patch?

Why don't you wait until the patch is actually out and people have had a chance to play it before you hoot and holler and pat anyone from EA on the back.

There is a small news update on the official bf2 site, which was posted on the 30th of Sept, claiming that the patch is a few days from release, and its now the 3rd of October. I wouldnt be surprised if it was released tonight.

Did they say they were going to fix the TK/ punish system? I feel it needs an overhaul. They should just remove punish altogether and make it a flat negative point deduction and get it over with. This way...we wont get angry every single round that we accidently bomb someone, run someone over, or shoot the retard that runs right into our line of fire at close quarters.

I kind of agree with Cutter, though. We're all getting ourselves so excited over something that we don't even know if it's really done yet. And to those who are quoting EA's website... really guys, I don't mean to rain on your parade, but when was the last time EA made a due date? I heard someone once make a statement about EA saying it's a really good thing they don't make big-corporation software because those companies would have EA's head on a platter. There's no reason EA can't meet deadlines like every other halfway-decent software company out there. Anyways, thats my $0.02. Just wait for it to come out, if it ever does, then get excited. I have found that any time I get myself all riled up about something, when it comes to fruition, i'm almost always left disappointed...

Apparently it will be released today at 21 hours GMT.

This came from a leaked mail from EA to its official hosting partners.

Let's hope and pray it IS tonight :wall:
