Did you notice that all the weapons in Battlefield 2 that you haven't earned were unlocked? EA have updated their site explaining this problem, as well as announcing a solution.

We have fixed the root issue that caused this to occur and by tomorrow morning all users will return to having access only to the weapons which they had earned. Once our solution is in place, if you find that you do not have access to weapons appropriate to your in-game rank, please direct inquiries to the Support sites linked below. In some cases users may be prompted to re-select the Unlock weapons that they are eligible for (if you are eligible for two weapons you will get to choose the two you wish to have unlocked). </blockquote>

Is appears the <i>vast</i> majority of users are having problems logging into their BF2 account. We can only assume this is a side-effect of EA applying the fix explained above.

The account servers are back up and running. Get back on the battlefield, soldier!

They're like security at a concert taking away the beach ball because people are having too much fun.. I hope someone re-hacks the weapon locks.
